Cindy Zampa Art
Surrounded by the beautiful prairie and mountain landscapes of Alberta, Cindy is inspired every day to capture the colours and feelings of her experiences through her art. She views art-making as not only a means of communicating, but also as a powerful tool for healing. Cindy is thrilled when her art strikes a resonant chord in others.
Initially attracted to the fluid and transparent nature of watercolours, Cindy's curiosity led her to experiment with a variety of mediums. Many of her paintings begin from photo references. She is fortunate to have lived in and travelled to many places, often bringing home treasures like shells and rocks, as well as many photos and lasting memories. The emotional and spiritual topography of places she visits offer rich resource material that is translated onto the canvas.
Cindy loves to collaborate with other artists and give back to her community. She contributed three tiles to the "Trust" mural mosaic currently displayed at the Cochrane RancheHouse. She has donated many hours of work toward creating set designs for plays held at the schools where she taught, and contributed many pieces of art to various fundraisers.
Her creativity is inspired not only by the physical landscape, but also by the people she encounters.
